Town Hall Meeting Update
Posted on March 2nd, 2010Town Hall Meeting Report:
I was pleased to see so many people on the morning of February 20 that said to me that we should meet regularly several times a year. Please let me know any particular concerns that you would like me to address at my Session Wrap-Up Town Hall meeting on Saturday, March 20 from 10 am to 12 noon at Belvedere Elementary School.
A special thank-you to my guests: Majority Leader, Senator Dick Saslaw; Chair of the State Board of Education, Eleanor Saslaw; Joan Morris and Larry Humphries from VDOT; and my County Supervisor, Penny Gross.
Many thanks go to Barbara and Bill Kreykenbohm for arranging and picking up coffee and accoutrements from Beanetics. Thank you also to Amy and David Starr for their always delicious coffee.
Susan Southworth, my Legislative Aide, did a masterful job of planning and executing our town hall meeting. Susan was also a stalwart advocate for those who called my office in search of a sympathetic listener as well as snow-plowing assistance. She will be following up on lessons learned and will keep you informed. She deserved the lovely tulips the Parklawn Civic Association gave her in appreciation of her hard work. Thank you, Susan.
My final thanks go to Parklawn for the generous gift of blooming tulips.
Kaye Kory, Delegate, 38th District
