Madam:
Adding to your 2010 Constituent Survey, I support no new taxes and no increase to existing taxes. True, the Virginia tax stream is reduced. So is my take-home income. with less coming in, I’ve got to spend less, and so will federal, state, and local governments.
Frankly, with more than 50% of my income stripped away for taxes, I’m giving serious thought to retirement. In retirement, my tax bracket, and taxes paid, will My taxes will decrease in retirement. I may get fewer dollars in retiement, but all governments will get fewer tax dollars, too.
Thank you.

Hi Kaye,
Hope all is well with you in your new “digs” in Richmond. Here in Barcroft we are continuing our neighborhood discussion about what to do with speeders on Waterway Drive. My suggestions include one for which you could help–give our commmunity authority (working with VDOT?) to install speed cameras that would catch (and progressively steeper fine) scofflaws. My point, which you know, is go after offenders and not punish the innocent with speed humps, etc.
More generally, you know my number one gripe about government is waste. There is plenty of it at all levels of government, and I helped Tom save millions for taxpayers when he was Chairman of Fairfax County, and worked on similar issues when I was back on the Hill with Tom in recent years. Government, like each of us, must live within its means. So instead of just spending and then raising taxes, determine how much money is available and then set spending priorities. Common sense.
We are proud of you. Wanda joins me in wishing you the very best! RON

TRANSPORTATION IN NO. VIRGINIA — WHICH HAS SADLY BEEN NEGLECTED FOR DECADES. IT IS TIME TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, OTHER THAN TALK!
Thanks, Kaye, for asking for input!

Congrats!
Please overturn former Governor Kaine’s proposed budget cuts that would cut the availability of community supports for people with disabilities, cut the pay of home-care workers by 5-8%, depending on which program pays their meager salary (and these people don’t get any benefits), and reduce respite care relieve for family caregivers. Please also remove the Kaine proposal to build another institution to warehouse people with disabilities. These proposals are contrary to the Commonwealth’s agreement to implement the Olmstead vs. Georgia Supreme Court decision, mandating community supports for people with disabilities who would be able to function in their home communities. -
Thank you for every thing you did for Arabic community.
